The Destination! - Going Behind The Veil Into The Holy of Holies

Going Behind The Veil Into The Holy of Holies by Pastor Marcelene Murdock

When people get saved many of them never go past the foot of the
cross. They never pick up their cross and totally follow the ways of the Lord. We were not supposed to remain at the foot of the cross for that is just the beginning of our growth in the Lord. We must stand up, place Christ upon us and walk past the cross into the resurrection power.
How do we do this you ask. Well, there are many things that guide us
in the whole word of God that helps us to gain entrance  behind the
veil. God told people before Christ was born in 2 Chronicles 7: 14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and
pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I
hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
God always wanted us to seek His face, pray, be humble in spirit.
The Lord God Almighty also says in  Isaiah 55: 1-3
1. Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that
hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk
without money and without price.
2. Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your
labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and
eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
3. Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall
live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure
mercies of David.
Here we see He is telling us He is the life we need, He is our bread
and water to live in. He is telling us here to seek Him so He can feed
us properly which in turn would place us in His presence.
King David is an example we should be following as King David was a
man after God's own heart. Why was he a man after God's own heart?
King David lived for God, He was not perfect in any way as he did
commit many sins and offenses, BUT God was forgiving because King David  KNEW how to reach God. How did he know how to reach God? All you have to  do is notice that King David did all things for the GLORY of God; He  prayed daily faithfully, studied Gods word, taught about God and told  others to rely on God in all things, and he relied on God for all things.

God told us through out the old testament how to get closer to Him
and no one listened. But God already had a plan to help us gain full
access to the Holy of Holies, He made it possible for us to go behind the  veil and be in His presence.

It begins with our repentance while we kneel at the cross and give
our lives to the Lord. Then we are to stand up and clothe ourselves with Christ take up our cross and walk into the resurrection power. We are  not to live at the foot of the Cross of redemption as with the
resurrection we have gained a new life we just have to walk in it.
How do we do this, you ask? In John 14: 5 - 7 Jesus said to Thomas?
 5. Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and
how can we know the way?
6. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no
man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
7. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from
henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
Since no one listened to God the first time He made a way and Jesus
teaches us how.
First we must be Clothed in Christ
We also see in Colossians 3: 12 - 17 it says a certain behavior we
need to be in.
Colossians 3
12. Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels
of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
13. Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man
have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
14. And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of
perfectness.
15. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also
ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
16. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom;
teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
17. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the
Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
It is our life in Christ, our faith, our belief, our behavior, our
obedience to Gods commands which help us to gain access to behind the
veil.
There are other things that also need be done before we enter behind
the veil.
First and most important? We must examine ourselves and make sure we
are sinless for all sin stinks to God and He won't be in our presence if we stink.
These are some things which can hinder us from being in Gods presence
Disobedience
Doubt
Negative thinking
Negative emotions
Negative actions
Fleshy reactions to anyone
I pray this little devotion has given you some knowledge and
understanding.
God's peace be with you.
