Jesus came in Love, arms opened wide
He chose only twelve to walk by His side
He spoke of forgiveness, the power of Love
Of the great mercy of the Father above........
He cured the sick, He healed the lame
All to the glory of the Great Father's Name
He showed by example the right way to live
He gave of Himself all one can give.....
He fed the multitude with few fishes and little bread
Calmed the seas, walked on water, raised the dead......
Yet there were those who hated Him - without cause
They cursed Him, falsely accused Him of breaking the laws...
In the Garden He waited, to the Father He prayed
Till the soldiers were brought - by a kiss He was betrayed..
He was tortured and mocked - suffered more than any man could
Yet spoke not in His defense though Pilate hoped He would......
Then ... beaten and broken, with supernatural will
He bore His cross to the crucifixion hill.....
At the place of a skull He was crucified
Along with two criminals.....one on each side............
He did this for us that we might live
But that wasn't all - He had more to give........
He descended to the lower parts of the earth
For His victory over death and Hell allows us rebirth.......
He took our place... suffered for our shame and sin....
Fill your heart with Love and live for Him!
