God Bless you by David Story

I had someone at work ask me why I always say God bless you.

I gave them a number of reasons...

Out of habit

Politeness

A nice way to part ways

But ultimately...it is asking for God's favor on that person. A vertical prayer -straight from me, to God and back down to them.

And oh yeah, there's one more reason.

It makes me smile.

May the LORD bless you and protect you. May the LORD smile on you and be gracious to you. May the LORD show you his favor and give you his peace.
