Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.
Be of the same mind toward one another (Rom. 12:15-16). by Kathi Macias
God has called us to not only share one another’s burdens, but to rejoice with those who rejoice. In other words, it is scriptural to ask others to pray with us when we have a concern, but it is also scriptural to share our testimonies with each other so we can all rejoice together. Today I received such a testimony from author/speaker Susie Larson and knew immediately that this is what I needed to pass on to all of you today. So read and rejoice, fellow scribes, and may it set the tone for all you write and speak and do this day and always! Here is Susie’s story.
Many of you have been praying for my seventeen-year-old son, Jordan, who injured his back six months ago. He had a herniated disc and has been very limited as a result.
Jordan was at JC’s Place tonight (youth group), and a young kid his age gave testimony
about how prior to his mission trip he didn’t believe that Jesus still healed people today. But when he was on his trip, he prayed for someone and they got healed.
As Jordan listened to the story, he felt the urge that the young boy should pray for him. At the end of the service, the youth pastor called people forward who needed prayer, especially if they needed healing.
Jordan knew he needed to go forward. He pressed through the crowd and found the young guy who gave the testimony. As Jordan was receiving prayer, he felt his back heat up. Jordan thanked him and then went outside. He started to move around to test it out. Then he started to really move. Then he started to RUN!!!
Jordan ran back into the sanctuary, bawling and jumping up and down. He told the young
guy what happened.
When Jordan came home, he ran into our bedroom. He said, “Mom and Dad, look!” and he kicked his leg high and then reached down and touched his toes. His lips were quivering, and his eyes were filled with tears as he relayed this amazing story.
Needless to say, we are praising God!!!!
Thank you for your prayers. The Kingdom of God is not a matter of talk, but of power!
A verse I was reading from Psalms yesterday said this” “YOU are the God who performs
miracles. You display Your power among the people!”
And so He does. Praise Him!
