The Destination! - Samantha's Testimony

Samantha's Testimony by Samantha

I came to Christ when I was about 15-16 years old. When I was going through a tough time with my family, because my dad is a recovering prescription drug addict. I thought the world hated me for a while, but once I thought things through and I would go to youth group, and church all the time. I came to the realization that God was not doing this to hurt me. He was showing me how I need to depend on Him when life gets really rough, and that you can't do it on your own. I have always been very independent and when I realized that I needed God more than ever.  It was hard accepting the fact that I needed help. In high school, I was always the strong, the person everyone would come to get help, but when I needed help from them they turned there backs on me. That's when I realized this was a test to see if I would turn to God. I did turn to him then, and when I did I started seeing wonderful things that he was doing in my life from that point on because I made it to college, not just any college, a university, but not just any university, Liberty University. Being I have seen God work in some many people's lives including mine.

It is so great when you can turn to someone who has never left you in the first place. He is always waiting for you to call on Him anytime. When you turn to Him, you will see how He works in your life on some many levels that it will be so amazing for you. It took me to figure this out when my dad was arrested for prescription drug abuse to realize it. I thank God everyday for making me realize that I need Him all the time. It is such an amazing feeling.  It makes me sad when the people I meet who don't know who God is, are miserable and hating life. I am learning to not be quiet about the amazing God that we have anymore.

God Loves Ya =:)
