Medicine For The Soul by Kelly Cyr
I think my prevailing thoughts about God recently has been these: since entering His Kingdom, I have had one failure after another, have not gained any success in anything I have done, and yet, I keep pushing on. I keep forging ahead because of the promises He made me and like Abraham, I believe Him totally, and not only that, I want that life He promised me. Not so much the life of wealth, fame and ease, but what He saw in me and the roles He put me in to further His Kingdom. I am to explain the mysteries of Him to the world and to preach about Judgment Day besides help the battered and the oppressed. When God gives you something to do, why would you not do it? And I have followed His amazing plan for my life ever since my own powerful spiritual conversion as described in my book, Supreme Love: A Battered Woman’s True Story.
This comes from the Bible:
Watch therefore, and pray always, that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man...
Blessed are those servants, whom the Lord when He comes shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to eat, and will come forth and serve them. And if He shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. And this know, that if the owner of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have allowed his house to be broken through.
Be you therefore ready also: for the Son of man comes at an hour when you think not.
But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Watch therefore: for you know not what hour your Lord does come.
Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of man comes.
Watch and pray, that you enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Take you heed, watch and pray: for you know not when the time is.
For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to watch. Watch you therefore: for you know not when the Master of the house comes, at evening, or at midnight, or at the cock crowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
Watch, stand fast in the faith, be men, be strong. Let all your things be done with love.
YOU, watch in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fully carry out your ministry.
The end of all things is at hand: be therefore sober minded, and watch unto prayer. Above all things have fervent love among yourselves: for love shall cover a multitude of sins.
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time: casting all your care upon him; for He cares for you. Be sober; be vigilant, because your adversary the devil, AS [not the] a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour.
What I say unto you I say unto all, WATCH.
I experienced supernatural visions of Judgment Day by the Lord several times in my life. Twice, He has come to my door, and twice, I heard the doorbell ring in the middle of the night and no one was there…
I have also been overcome by the Holy Spirit where God showed me how His is going to take over all of His followers and we will be helpless as He goes about gathering His own and destroying His enemies. He was driving my car recklessly down the city streets almost crashing me into others and I was helpless in what He was doing. I was terrified out of my mind.
Then He made me go to my family’s home and ring the doorbell and tell them that the Lord has come, the Lord has come. My family thought I was crazy.
I wait for more of His teaching to me, and I know there will be more. And as I wait, I do plead with you to also wait. Wait and watch for the Lord.
