Wake Up America by Jonathan Bolton
As I sit and write this, a lot goes through my mind and a lot of the thoughts put pain in my heart. I am honestly surprised by every human in America. First, what is America? I was taught it was the "land of the free", that it was MY country. Alongside of that, Christian pilgrims came to establish America to continue to worship The Almighty God and His Son, Jesus, considering the Christians were under much persecution in Europe. Being Spirit-led, Christians obeyed God and came to America to have freedom to worship God the Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. It was established for Christ.
Not even 200 years later all thought of true worship for Christ has been put away.
The world is going to hell in a hand basket!
Many Americans don't care about the truth of Jesus and surely don't know about the truth of Satan.
So again, what is a Christian? In today's America, you are considered a Christian unless otherwise stated. That is blasphemy! A Christian is an individual who lives exactly by Christ's example of the Gospels. Three keys: take up your cross, deny yourself, and follow Jesus!
Today's Christians are not like those of past times. The Christians today are just like the world. We all claim to be Christians, children of an Almighty God, but we deny Him by our everyday actions. You may disagree, but I'll try to show you the best I can through scripture and in our everyday living.
In the book of James chapter four and verse four, God says ,"…If you are a friend of the world, you are an enemy of God." Now I do not know how you feel about being an enemy of The God who, created life, created you, and created ALL, who knows life, knows you, and who knows ALL, but it is rather disturbing to me to put God off. We put God off for our own desire and pleasure.
"Everyday Christians" are very far from the will of God. You may say, "Who are you to judge." God said in His Holy Word, the book of Peter, the second chapter and the ninth verse, "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light;" We do not do this at all. If I walk around a store I should know you are a child of God, and you should know that I am also. In His word it says that our spirit bear witness one to another.
Only very few are truly doing God's will. Jesus said there's a lot to harvest, but very few laborers. How true.
A Christian is one who reads God's Holy Scriptures. But most Bibles are touched once a week if that, and usually serve as a dust collector the rest of the week.
What does it do for an hungered person to just look at food?
If America would repent - turn away - from their wicked ways, and turn back to the One who hung at Calvary's cross, America would understand. America doesn't understand, and doesn't care to understand. Because they don't feel the need to care,
Look at us America, we have become a lazy nation!
Everything is easier, quicker, supposedly better. Just look, in old-fashioned times to eat, you hunted it, you cleaned it, you cooked it, and truly enjoyed it. Now, to eat, you just open a box or can and stick it in the microwave, then complain that it's not good enough!
To wash clothes, you walked to the well, filled your pails, brought it back, filled your large bucket, and dipped and drained continuously - then hung to dry. Now to wash clothes, you pour some soap, push a button, and complain it takes too long and it isn't clean enough!
Look at us. We're lazy, we rely on others to nurture us, and rely on the push of a button.

America, open your BLIND EYES. I'm tired of being babied, pampered, and lied to.
Are you? Get into God's Holy Scriptures!
America would understand if they would trust and obey God!
If I have pieces of a bike, it doesn't do any good to look at it. And it doesn't do what it is supposed to do if I don't know how to put it together. And without reading the instructions, I could try to put it together, but it might fall apart, or the pieces may be missing.
Our life and the Bible are the same!
If I have my life, and I don't do what I'm supposed to do, it is a waste. And I could try to live my life the way I want, but it will probably fall apart. I may be missing parts of my life. But if I follow the directions and instructions - the Bible - my life will be put together correctly.
Of course, that sounds like a lot, and it will be. Because living the right Christian life doesn't happen with a push of a button, nor does it happen overnight. It is a daily process for a lifetime.
Matthew 10:22 "And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved."
