Down by The River To Pray by Signs August 2005

Right after my husband died of oesaphageal cancer, August 12, 2005, something amazing took place. My son-in-law, while driving home from his mother`s house had something eerie, to say the least, happen to him. He got home late by about an hour and my daughter asked him what happened. This route was familiar to him, but he ended up driving way out of his way to a church off the highway called the Solid Rock Church. We had never heard of it. He said he was totally unaware that he drove there and woke up with the song playing from the movie "Oh Brother Where Art Thou", "Down By The River To Pray" on his cd player. It was about 11:30 p.m.and my daughter and son-in-law were so moved by it, they took me there and I took pictures, that late. "Down By The River To Pray" was played for my husband Bill, the week before he died by my daughter and it gave him great peace. He was on so much medicine he slept with his eyes open. My son-in-law felt that Bill drove him to that place! My husband was a Supervisor over the buses here and always gave everyone directions including my family. He also, solved everyone`s problems in the family. The message that we all got was that my son-in-law was to be solid as a rock for us, and to come to Jesus. I told Bill not to worry about us, the day he died, that we had each other, but it was like him to worry about us.We were married for thirty-five years and had three grown children. I believe through all the prayers and closeness I had with the Lord at the time, and all the praying for two years before Bill died for his healing, I became close as I did as a child to the Lord.I received Holy Communion and confession regularly, attended mass always, and prayed during the day because I wanted to be in Heaven someday too, I believe Jesus showed us His mercy and love, with another sign.
"Down By The River To Pray" is "Good Lord Show Me The Way"
